Girl Scout Troop 326/1326, Welcomes YOU!

***Notice***

Several members from our troop have been together since we were in first or second grade in 1986/1987. This site was started in 1997, while I was a senior in High School and it has been hard keeping up. Just last year (2000) after I had been in college for two years, the troop finally disbanded because all of the original members graduated and our fearless leader could not keep us any longer. Several of us are lifetime members of Girl Scouts USA and will most likely stay with scouting for the rest of our lives. I hope you enjoy reading about what we have accomplished in our cadette/senior years and maybe someday, this site can continue with the troops of our own.
Two members from our troop have already started their own troop of brownie girl scouts and are enjoying it immensely.

Get   to   Know   US

The members of troop 326/1326, a senior/cadette girl scout troop, are very adventurous girls. Throughout the year we do several exciting activities which include sailing, canoeing, camping, rappelling, spelunking, rockclimbing, horseback riding and much more.

Our Troop consists of 15 girl memebers plus some adult members who help us out. We have three superb leaders who take care of us and stick by us through thick and thin. These wonderful ladies are Suey (Sue), Linguini (Verlene), and Debbie. You can get to know them in later links.

Being a girl scout is not all fun and games nor is it work, work, work. We are extremely lucky to have such a large and dedicated group of girls in our troop. Even though we spend much of the year raising money for certain activities, we raise the money in exciting ways. Our leaders keep things exciting for us and together we never have a dull moment. The troop is basically run by the girls and the adults help arrange things and put in their two cents on certain things (such as travelling to Egypt would cost too much).

WE raise money to pay for extended trips and any other events we choose to attend. We also share our services to better the community. In the past we have travelled to Chicago, IL, Disney World, and Branson, MO. Our upcoming trip is going to be a cruise to the Bahamas aboard the BIG RED BOAT. In order to go on these trips, we choose a destination two years in advance and work hard to raise the money to send all of us. To raise this money, we host campouts, dances, and explorer days for younger girls. We also participate in bake/craft sales and sell butterbraids (a type of pastry) before every major holiday.
